Busy, busy, busy

Hi Stampers!

I have had a busy summer and have not lived up to my promise of posting once a week! My latest project has been making wedding favors for a friend of mine. Her daughter is getting married in a few weeks and I wanted to have the favors done so that would take one more thing off of her to-do list. Here is a picture of them and of her invitation, which they made themselves. Aren't gorgeous? Her colors are Not Quite Navy and silver. She plans to put colored M&M's imprinted with their names in the baggie type favor.
I think she did a great job with the invitations!

I can't WAIT!!!!

The 2009/2010 Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog will be available on July 1, 2009!!!!! As a demonstrator, I have already received my catalog and I must say, it is gorgeous! So many new stamp sets and papers, embellishments, and SU exclusive Sissix products! I love it all! I can't post any decriptions of products until July 1. But on July 1, look for some great pics!

I am going to do a ribbon share. For those of you that don't know what this is, I will try to explain. I will purchase x number if spools of ribbon and divide it among x number of people who sign up. This way, you can experiment with the new ribbons without having to buy a whole spool. If you like a particular ribbon, then you can order more. I will need five people in each ribbon share. If there are more than five, we will start another round. You can purchase more than one spot in a round. You will receive 2-3 yds of each color (this will depend on the amount of yardage on the spool).

New this year, I will start a scrapbook club. More details about this later.

Well, ladies, I haven't lived up to my goal of posting every Thursday, have I? I just don't know how, but life keeps getting in the way. I am writing this post at 1:40 in the morning. I have insomnia quite regularly, so I may as well be productive, eh?

I'm really excited! The Stampin' UP! year is winding down and we are transitioning to a NEW CATALOG. One of the perks of being a demonstrator is to get a sneak peak at some of the new stamp sets and accessories that will be in the new catalog. The new In Colors are fabulous , as usual. But this year, in addition to the ink, paper, and co-ordinating ribbons, we have In Color MARKERS!!!!! I can't wait to show you the new products that are available July 1!!!! Look for a posting about a ribbon share that I will be offering.

I am trying to find a date this month that will work for another card class. I will let you know and post a sample card as soon as I have the date finalized.

My eyes are feeling heavy, so I am going to try to sleep. Night night!

Well, I missed a Thursday and I am posting early for this Thursday. Not a very good track record, huh! We are leaving to go to Charleston, South Carolina in about 20 minutes. I am packed but not sure I remembered everything. I took a picture of two cards for the next card class. But something is wrong -my computer is not recognizing the printer where I plug in my digital card. Ackkk!!!! So I don't have a sample to post on my blog this time. That's what I get for waiting until the last minute.

So, some of you saw the Sesame Street card at the last class. This class will be birthday cards and SS is one of the cards. For those that don't want to make a child's card, I will have another card for you. When you sign up for class, just let me know, kids or no kids. Class is Thursday, May 28 at my house from 7-9pm. Cost is $20 for 12 cards and envelopes. Please remember to bring your scissors and favorite adhesive. I will have access to a laptop and will be checking my emails. So let me know if you can make to class. And I promise....to have a pic next time!

This is one of the cards from my Christmas Card Class coming up on Monday, November 17.

This card is made with a circle cut from a Coluzzle template at 4 1/4", using Kraft cardstock. Stamp sets from Stampin' UP are : tree from Punch Pals and sentiment from Holidays and Wishes. I think it's a cute card.
